WHY WORRY ABOUT THOSE WHO REJECT OR DESPISE YOU…

Good morning and happy New day. Hope we had a great night. Let’s meditate this morning:
“Jesus left that place and went to the city where he had grown up; his disciples accompanied him. On the sabbath day he began to teach in the synagogue. His many listeners were greatly astonished. where has he got all this? Who gave him this wisdom and the power to perform such miracles? Was he not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and the brother of James, of Joses, of Jude and Simon? And don’t his sisters live here among us?” And this prevented them from believing in him. So Jesus said to them, “A prophet is esteemed everywhere, except in his native town, his kindred and his family.” Jesus could not do any miracles there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them. And he was amazed at the lack of faith of the people of his town. Then Jesus went through all the surrounding villages to teach there”, Mark 6:1-6.
Do not worry at all when some people especially those closest to you denigrate, despise or reject you. And don’t spend your life trying to please people or convince them to accept you, like you, or appreciate your offers or services.
Jesus Christ was despised in His hometown by His own family. But He didn’t stay there. He turned to neighboring villages where He was accepted and continued His mission.
Spend your time with those who accept you, give your friendship to those who value it. You can’t please everyone, whether it’s in the neighborhood, in your family, at the place of service or business, there will always be people who will look at you with a suspicious and negative eye. There will even be others who will call you a witch/witch, sectarian and all that simply because you chose to go to this church which they consider to be evil.
Don’t be embarrassed, don’t be discouraged.
Don’t let the opinions of men define or determine your faith, your vision, your relationship with God and with your wife/husband. Don’t let the world define how you should serve God, give to God, love your wife or husband, or how you should go to church. Don’t let the world tell who is a real Pastor or what is the real one. Be led by the Spirit of God and His Word.
If no one loves you or appreciates you, know that Jesus Christ loves you infinitely and eternally. Be content with God’s love and be busy fulfilling His mission on earth. Do not live in disorder, do not offend people consciously, but seek more to please God than men, He is the Alpha and the Omega.
